Religious Pins

Over the ages many people have been persecuted for their religious beliefs and even today many people still cannot practice the religion of their choice or show allegiance to a religious belief without persecution at some level. The wearing of religious pins and religious lapel pins (and even other religious jewelry) is a tradition that many have participated in for centuries and is one way in which to honor your religion quietly but with faith.

Religious pins can take many forms from crosses, stars and fish to hearts, Celtic symbols and angels. Even the Boy Scouts have religious lapel pins in the religious emblem of their faith that they may earn. Religious symbols in the form of lapel pins can be seen worn around the world. It is an interesting fact that until the Nazis took the swastika as their symbol for Nazism it was a symbol used in Buddhism and is still used in some areas of the world as a symbol of the circle of life.

Pins that symbolize your religious beliefs can be comforting in a world that concentrates all too much on the secular. R&N Jewelers has a selection of Saint Christopher medals, guardian angel pendants and pins, fish and fish and cross pins, traditional cross pins and pendants and more.

Pins can symbolize so much in such a small package. The dove pin or pendant symbolizes the third member of the Blessed Trinity, the Holy Spirit. The Saint Christopher pin, most often worn as a pendant, even comes in 12 gender-specific 'sport' medals although St. Sebastian is the 'patron saint of athletes."

Religious charms, pendants, medals, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, pins and other religious jewelry are becoming more popular than ever. Even simple fabric woven bracelets that ask, "What would Jesus do?" are hugely popular. If you are a Mormon (a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), a CTR (Choose the Right) ring or pin is something that is probably quite familiar. Pins can be given as gifts for graduation, First Holy Communion, baptism, ordination and other important events.
